AsiaInfo Services 10-19-2004 Matsushita Electric to Set Up Home Appliance Plant in China ZHEJIANG, Oct 19, 2004 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Matsushita Electric IndustrialCo., Ltd., well known for its Panasonic brand electronics products, plans to inject JPY 30 billion (USD 274 million) to set up a home appliance plant in China, reported Japanese media. The report discloses that the plant is scheduled to be located in Zhejiang Province and will mainly manufacture washing machine, electric cooker, and other household appliances.
It isestimated that the plant will gain an annual sales about CNY 10billion, or USD 1.21 billion. The Japanese company will inject JPY 20 billion in establishinga washing machine plant at first, which is expected to gain an annual output...
