AsiaInfo Services 10-25-2004 Siemens Obtains Four Power Generation Projects SHANGHAI, Oct 25, 2004 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Siemens declared on October 20that it had got an order of nine gas turbines for four Chinese electric companies in partnership with Shanghai Electric, one of the biggest equipment groups in China. This is the first time for Siemens to enter China's gas turbinemarket.
Part of the contract amount is up to 21 million EUR. In the contract, Siemens promises that it will transfer its technology to Chinese companies. China has the fastest development rate in electric sector in the world nowadays. For a long time, Siemens' joint ventures in China have been taking leads in steam turbine sector in Chinese market.
