AsiaInfo Services 10-28-2004 Volkswagen's Sales in China Slide CHINA, Oct 28, 2004 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Two Sino-Germany joint ventures, FAW-Volkswagen and Shanghai Volkswagen suffered continuous declining output and sales in the first three quarters in 2004. Meanwhile, some automakers of Chinese companies with South Korean, Japan and American automakers, like Beijing Hyundai, Guangzhou Honda and Shanghai General Motors, saw greatly-risingoutput and sales. Beijing Hyundai saw the greatest growth.
Its sedans output and sales respectively hit 95880 units and 94110 units, an increaseof 146% and 154% over the same time of last year. Guangzhou Honda ranked second and its sedans output and sales respectively rose by 72% and 70%. Shanghai GM's output and sales...
