AsiaInfo Services 11-01-2004 China Unicom's Net Profits in Q1-Q3 Grows 5.7% Up to CNY 4bn HONG KONG, Nov 01, 2004 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- China Unicom (HKSE: 0762, NYSE: CHU), the second largest mobile telecom carrier in China,posted its third-quarter results on October 28, 2004, reportinga 5.7% year-on-year growth in net profits in the first three quarters. In the first nine months, China Unicom's net profits increased from last year's CNY 3.78 billion (USD 1 = CNY 8.2770), or CNY 0.302 per share, up to CNY 4 billion, equal to CNY 0.319 per share.
