AsiaInfo Services 11-15-2004 Q3 Result: Tom Online's Net Profit Down 28% BEIJING, Nov 15, 2004 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- In accordance with the third quarter financial result of the year posted by Tom Online, the company's net profit has slid 28% compared to the previous quarter because of the government's action on disputable information, such as porn and junk information. In the third quarter this year, the company pulled in USD 7.3 million (USD 1 = CNY 8.27) net profit, but the figure reached USD 10.1 million in the same period of last year. Furthermore, the company's sales revenue topped USD 31.4 million in the same quarter, which grew slightly compared with USD 30.9 million from a year earlier, hitting the company's goal of from USD 28 million to 32 million...
