AsiaInfo Services 11-15-2004 Home Appliance Distributors See Low Profit Margin BEIJING, Nov 15, 2004 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- China's three major home appliance distribution chains Gome, Suning and Dazhong have initiated rounds of price wars in Beijing market. People doubt whether prices of the home appliance products have come to the bottom line, or they can make profits in the market or not. Experts from Tsinghua University unveiled at a seminar that gross profit rate of these large chains is around 8%, but profit margin just 1% to 2%.
