AsiaInfo Services 12-22-2004 Microsoft Puts Incentive Policy for Copyright Protection CHINA, Dec 22, 2004 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Microsoft put forward a new incentive policy on December 18 to encourage brand PC makers and dealers to sell licensed Windows operating system. The new policy says distributors can win award from Microsoft as long as they sell PCs with original Windows operating system. Microsoft invited brand PC makers which sell products in China and also asked them to mobilize their distributors to join the campaign. The incentive policy will end next June.

It is revealed that Lenovo, HP, IBM, Acer, Samsung, Sony, Tongfang, Toshiba, TCL, and Founder have joined the activity. Microsoft hopes to help partners to build a strong sales team...
