AsiaInfo Services 12-27-2004 China Unicom Appoints Chang Xiaobing New Chairman BEIJING, Dec 27, 2004 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- China's major mobile carrier China Unicom has appointed Chang Xiaobing to be the company's executive director, chairman and chief executive officer. On December 22, the carrier posted an announcement in Hong KongStock Exchange, stating serving conditions clinched by Chang Xiaobing and the company do not include serving term and remuneration the company should pay him for terminating his services. Additionally, in the light of the company's regulations, Chang Xiaobing, as the chairman, does not need to resign or change post at annual shareholders' meeting.
