AsiaInfo Services 01-06-2005 World's Biggest LCD TV Entered Beijing BEIJING, Jan 06, 2005 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Sharp of Japan launched the world's biggest LCD TV with a 45-inch screen into Beijing during the New Year, priced at about CNY 70,000. The price of the LCD TV equals that of a China-made low-end vehicle.
The LCD TVs were all ordered, although they haven't been delivered to the stores. Sharp planned to sell about 50 sets of 45-inch LCD TVs in Beijing, said insiders. Sharp' s LCD TV is expected to enter the stores of Beijing Dazhong Electrical Appliances Co. Ltd. in mid January of 2005.
