AsiaInfo Services 01-13-2005 Two Digital TV Standards Come Closer at First Step CHINA, Jan 13, 2005 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- China's two digital TV standard providers Tsinghua University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University(SJTU) reached an agreement on adopting 0.18-micron technology in chip design, which is helpful to integrate the two standardsfurther. A core worker at the digital standard working group of SJTU expressed that 0.11-micron chip is just for experiment and theywould employ 0.18-micron technology in industrial operations.
They are doing concerned researches on this. It is in accordance with the 0.18-micron digital television terrestrial broadcasting chip designed by Fudan University with the standard of Tsinghua University. The agreement reached...
