AsiaInfo Services 02-02-2005 Lucent Sets up 1st ASON Intelligent Optical Network in Jiangsu JIANGSU, Feb 02, 2005 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- The US-based Lucent Technologies, Inc. has built up an intelligent optical network,firstly adopting ASON (Automatically Switched Optical Network) technology, for Jiangsu Province. The fresh network will provide overall support for voice and data services within the province by using LambdaUnite Multi-service switch of Lucent. The US company had formally inked agreements with Jiangsu Telecom in May last year.
