AsiaInfo Services 03-03-2005 Sina Shows Attitude toward Shanda's Acquisition BEIJING, Mar 03, 2005 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Sina stated that it welcomed Shanda's strategic investment, but it would interfere in the practice that bought shares in it through open market to control the company without communicating with the board of directors. China's biggest online game operator Shanda has bought a 19.5 percent stake in Sina, the country's leading Internet portal. A director from Sina said that when Shanda bought one hundreds thousands of shares in Sina at the first two times, the companyhad no awareness.
