AsiaInfo Services 03-15-2005 SAP Expands R&D Center in Shanghai SHANGHAI, Mar 15, 2005 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- SAP, the world's biggest business software builder, posted an announcement on March 10, 2005 that it would invest multi-ten million US dollars in expanding its research and development center in Pudong, Shanghai, and make it into a world-class one. SAP Labs China was founded in November 2003, which has been SAP's fourth biggest one.

Its expansion this time is appealed by China's huge market. The complete project will be completed through three phases, and the number of its staff is expected to increase from the current 450 to 1,500.
