AsiaInfo Services 03-22-2005 American Express Plans Commercial Banking Service in China SHANGHAI, Mar 22, 2005 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- On the heels of edging into the Chinese tourism and credit card markets, American Express is going to introduce commercial banking, one of its core businesses, into China this year. The service will be launched in Shanghai within this year.
For now, the company is making efforts to apply for financial service license, preparing operation of its affiliated AmericanExpress Bank Limited in mainland China.
