LEVONO WINS STRATEGIC INVESTMENT

AsiaInfo Services 04-06-2005 international business machines corp.[(ibm)] Levono Wins Strategic Investment BEIJING, Apr 06, 2005 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Lenovo has completed the financingfor acquiring IBM's PC units, and it will devote to integratingthe PC operation in the following period. Lenovo has wrapped up strategic investment agreements with three private equity firms, Texas Pacific Group (TPG), General Atlantic (GA) and Newbridge Capital LLC (Newbridge).
They provide USD 350 million for Lenovo, USD 200 million from TPG, USD 100 million from General Atlantic, and USD 50 million from Newbridge. About USD 150 million will be used to fund the acquisition, andthe rest of about USD 200 million for general operation capitaland general corporate...
