AsiaInfo Services 04-19-2005 China Netcom to Reverse Downward Trend of Broadband's ARPU BEIJING, Apr 19, 2005 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- China Netcom plans to reverse thedownward trend of its broadband business' average revenue per user, before starting to offer 3G services. The fixed-line phone carrier hopes to keep ARPU value from broadband business between 8% and 21% in the year of 2005, saidTian Suning, chief executive of the carrier. Last year, it suffered a drop of 21% in broadband business' ARPU value, from CNY 111 a year earlier to CNY 76, due to strategic shift to rap larger market shares. This year, ARPU value from broadband business will vary from CNY 60 to CNY 70, added Mr.
