AsiaInfo Services 04-19-2005 China Netcom to Reverse Downward Trend of Broadband's ARPU BEIJING, Apr 19, 2005 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- China Netcom plans to reverse thedownward trend of its broadband business' average revenue per user, before starting to offer 3G services. The fixed-line phone carrier hopes to keep ARPU value from broadband business between 8% and 21% in the year of 2005, saidTian Suning, chief executive of the carrier. Last year, it suffered a drop of 21% in broadband business' ARPU value, from CNY 111 a year earlier to CNY 76, due to strategic shift to rap larger market shares.
