PHIL SPENDER APPOINTED AS PRESIDENT OF CHANGAN FORD

AsiaInfo Services 05-02-2005 Phil Spender Appointed as President of Changan Ford CHONGQING, May 02, 2005 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Phil Spender would succeed Ron Tyack as president of Changan Ford Automobile Co., Ltd. since May 1, announced the board of the joint venture on April 28. Tyack, a senior who has worked at Ford for near 40 years, wouldtake charge of a new business at Ford Motor China.
He would report the operation directly to chairman and CEO of Ford MotorChina. It is said that the transfer of Tyack is part of Ford's management reshuffle in China. It is understood that new president Phil Spender was president and CEO of AutoAlliance International (AAI), a joint venture between Ford and Mazda in North America.
