AsiaInfo Services 05-09-2005 Lenovo Ranks No. 1 in Chinese Desktop and Laptop Market in Q1 CHINA, May 09, 2005 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- In the first quarter of this year, Lenovo, the biggest computer maker in Asia, sold 963,000 desktop PC and 110,000 laptops in China mainland. In both desktop PC and laptop market, Lenovo took the number one position. Analysts point out that the growth in Chinese PC market is dropping in 2005. The total shipment of desktop PC in Chinese market in the firstquarter were 3.237 million, a growth of 5.7 percent from the previous quarter, and a growth of 10.8 percent from the same period of last year.
