AsiaInfo Services 05-19-2005 Sina's Local Search to Cover 150 Cities at Year-end BEIJING, May 19, 2005 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- China's leading portal Sina Corporation has began offering testing services of its Local Search local.sina.com.cn for Beijing users. Sina, the first Internet firm that provides such services in the domestic market, will start beta testing in Beijing as of June. The Local Search services are expected to cover 150 cities across the country at year-end, and the services will be perfected gradually. Local Search is a new type of search services that integrates with maps, yellow pages and traditional search services of portal websites.
