AsiaInfo Services 05-27-2005 China Telecom Seeking International Partners BEIJING, May 27, 2005 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- China Telecom Corporation Limited now is seeking international partners in an effort to improve its corporate image in the global telecom market, according to Hong Kong reports. Wang Xiaochu, chairman and chief executive officer at the fixed-line phone operator, clarified at the annual conference by saying the company has merely worked out a plan, and it is not eager to find partners. Telecom expects sunrise IPTV business to be of great help, as China's fixed-line phone market has little room for growth.
