VW TO SET UP CENTER LAB IN BEIJING WITH SINOPEC

AsiaInfo Services 06-07-2005 VW to Set Up Center Lab in Beijing with Sinopec BEIJING, Jun 07, 2005 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- German auto giant Volkswagen announced today that it has set to hook up with China Petroleum& Chemical Corp. (Sinopec), a leading integrated energy and chemical operator in China, to set up its China's first center lab in Beijing. The center lab, with an investment of CNY 10.6 million in equipment, will lease an area of 1,000 square meters from Sinopec Beijing Chemical Academe. It will provide better technology guarantee for VW to increase localization rate of parts and components and procure China-made raw materials.
