(Merrill Lynch), one of the world's leading financial management and advisory companies, believes that there is stillroom for further rise of share price of China Power International Development Limited (China Power, 02380.HK), a Chinese state power company listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong. On June 10, China Power announced that it has purchased a thermal power plant in Shaanxi Province at a remarkably low price of CNY560mn (CNY0.77mn per megawatts).
The company's attributable installed capacity thus boosts 40% to 4210MW. It is also China Power's first step to redouble its power generation within five years. ...
