AsiaInfo Services 06-22-2005 China Unicom to Found Independent Distribution Company CHINA, Jun 22, 2005 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- China Unicom, the country's second-largest mobile telecom carrier, will found an independent mobile phone distribution company in an effort to lift the profitability on CDMA mobile phones.The news has been confirmed by the carrier, and the distribution company will take charge of customization, purchase, sale and supply of CDMA mobile phones.For now, the foundation of the new company is still pending regulatory approval.The carrier's marketing budget for fiscal 2005 is only CNY1.355 billion in fiscal 2005, but its total terminal allowances for fiscal 2004 reached CNY7.9 billionIts CDMA business made a loss of CNY280 million in the first quarter...
