AsiaInfo Services 06-27-2005 ABC: Some Credit Card Numbers Disused 10 Years Ago BEIJING, Jun 27, 2005 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- After being informed by MasterCard International over credit card data disclosure, the Agricultural Bank of China (ABC) found that part of card numbers had been stopped using for ten years.The bank also discovered that some card numbers are those of semi-credit cards, but are not those of international cards or dual-currency cards.
And the lender also judged that lost data may involve illegal transactions.Moreover, sources from credit card center of the bank said data of over 1,000 cards they issued would be at risk, but they only received card number range.The bank is communicating with MasterCard International, but the latter declined to...
