AsiaInfo Services 07-28-2005 Konka Wins Order of 50,000 Flat-panel TVs from Best Buy SHENZHEN, Jul 28, 2005 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Shenzhen-based Konka Group Co., Ltd. won an order of 50,000 LCD flat-panel TVs from Best Buy, North America's No. 1 specialty retailer of consumer electronics.It is the second one that the leading Chinese TV maker won in recent days.
It previously secured an order of 30,000 TVs from Carrefour, a France-based retailer.The recent big order is gained by Konka's digital flat-panel division and its wholly-owned subsidiary Hong Kong Konka Limited, an epitome of success in shakeup of the company's flat-panel business, said Kuang Yubin, general manager of Konka's multi-media division.To gain the order from Best Buy, US's largest TV retailer...
