AsiaInfo Services 08-25-2005 MasterCard International Plans to Do Micro-payment Business SHANGHAI, Aug 25, 2005 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- MasterCard Greater China is planning to introduce the micro-payment system to the Chinese mainland, unveiled Willie Fung, general manager of MasterCard International in China.Through adding a chip to the credit card, the micro-payment system enables the cardholder to pay his small bill without signing his name or confirming the password when using the card, according to Fung.And the main reason for this move is that tourists are not satisfied with the payment environment in Shanghai.
