AsiaInfo Services 09-15-2005 Google Buys .com.cn Name at High Price CHINA, May 09, 2005 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Google, the global Internet searching giant, bought the domain names at high prices on April 29, including the domain names of www.google.cn, which sets the highest price in domain name transactions in China. Few years ago, Beijing International Networks Information Co., Ltd (CINET.com.cn) registered domain name of www.google.cn, which made Google not able to get the possession of its CN domain name.
Google once tried to recapture its possession by litigation but failed finally, and the domain name was held by others for a long time. Many people were dissatisfied with CINET.com.cn's behavior but it is not against the related law, so Google can't get...
