AsiaInfo Services 09-27-2005 China Chipmaker Eyes USD150mn Nasdaq IPO SHANGHAI, Sep 27, 2005 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Actions Semiconductor Co., Ltd., the third-largest chip design maker in China, plans to sell first-time shares on the NASDAQ market at the yearend, local media reported. The proceeds of the initial public offering would reach as much as USD 150 million.

The deal will be sponsored by Credit Suisse First Boston, who just co-underwrote the USD 108 million IPO of Baidu.com, the Chinese search engine bellwether. The forthcoming listing of Actions Semiconductor could be affected by a pending appeal against the five-year company.
