AsiaInfo Services 11-11-2005 Chinese Telecom Carriers Set to Block Skype BEIJING, Nov 11, 2005 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Verso Technologies, a leading provider of packet-based solutions, will likely ink an agreement with Chinese telecom operators to help them prevent Chinese Internet users from using eBay's Skype VoIP software. At the moment, a Chinese telecom carrier has started a paid trial of Verso's NetSpective M-Class filter, which was designed to block VoIP calls through Skype, as well as other peer-to-peer applications.
