AsiaInfo Services 11-23-2005 Verso Partners with Chinese Carrier to Block Skype BEIJING, Nov 23, 2005 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Verso Technologies, a leading provider of packet-based solutions, said it had launched a trial operation of software for blocking Skype VoIP service with a Chinese telecom operator, said Verso CEO Monty Bannerman. Moreover, the purchase agreement is expected to be inked before the end of the year if the operation is successful. Monty Bannerman said the company has been doing business in China for ten years and it is very much familiar with rules and regulations of the local telecom industry.
