AsiaInfo Services 11-23-2005 China Unicom Saw Slowed Growth of CDMA User Base in October BEIJING, Nov 23, 2005 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- The growth of China Unicom's CDMA user base slowed down in October. In that month, CDMA users went up by 261,000, taking the total amount to 32.173 million.
However, its GSM business attracted 959,000 new customers, boosting the GSM user base to 93.195 million. The mobile carrier shifted focus to business benefit since the year beginning. The company made efforts to develop users that are able to bring back benefits, and then took marketing costs under control.
