HP MOVES UP TO NO.1 IN CHINESE STORAGE SYSTEM MARKET IN Q3

AsiaInfo Services 12-01-2005 HP Moves Up to No.1 in Chinese Storage System Market in Q3 BEIJING, Dec 01, 2005 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- In the third quarter of 2005, China's storage system shipment reached 12,800 sets, sharply rising 34.5% from a year earlier and 6.6 percent point higher than last quarter.
The whole market sales hit CNY 1.91 billion (USD 1 = CNY 8.08), increasing 23.3% year on year, and growing 6.9% quarterly. Beijing-based Analysys International, a leading IT market researcher and advisor, reports that IBM, Hewlett-Packard (HP), and EMC are still the top three in the segment market in terms of sales but HP moves up a position to the No. 1 by its 26.2% shares, or CNY 500 million sales.
