AsiaInfo Services 12-12-2005 China Netcom Denied Contact with Skype over VoIP Service BEIJING, Dec 12, 2005 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- A China Netcom official denied rumor that the mobile operator is in talks with Skype on promotion of VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) service. At the moment, a handful of Internet users have subscribed for the VoIP service, and it is hard to say whether the Internet is capable of bearing huge traffics if the service is in commercial use, the official said. Skype integrated software, phone service and broadband operation, and it is able to provide cheap and even free communication service for users.
