AsiaInfo Services 12-12-2005 Bird Flu Estimated to Drive Down Yum! China Division Sales SHANGHAI, Dec 12, 2005 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Yum! Brands Inc. recently announced in London that if bird flu lasted over six months in China, it would cause Yum! China Division's sales to fall 20%. Yum! China Division includes operations in China and Thailand with totally some 2,000 restaurants, in which more than 1,700 ones are located in the mainland China. Yum! pointed out that such an estimation was made based on the influence on Chinese KFC business hit by bird flu that broke out in China in 2004.
