AsiaInfo Services 12-20-2005 Eli Lilly and Company Accelerates China Expansion CHINA, Dec 20, 2005 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Eli Lilly and Company, which has not shaken off the Gemzar lawsuit, presented a new cancer drug Alimta in China recently. The Indianapolis-based pharmaceutical company will chiefly expand in the Chinese anti-tumor drug market, said Dr.
Jorg Ostertag, president for Lily China. Gemzar, a nucleoside used as chemotherapy, has come atop amongst anti-tumor drug products in 2004, but the patent is presently accused of invalid and unenforceable.
