AsiaInfo Services 01-04-2006 Microsoft's IE7 Supports Chinese Domain Name BEIJING, Jan 04, 2006 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Microsoft's IE 7, which is set to be launched in 2006, will support Chinese domain names. And then users will be able to directly access to websites only typing Chinese domain names in the address bar, China Internet Network Information Center testified. The world's top software builder said its IE 7 will finally support international domain names, and it would strengthen security functions to protect Internet users from phishing attacks and other sorts of online frauds. In 2004, a multi-language domain name registration standard, which was mainly formulated by the information center, had been recognized by IETF and issued.
