SINA COO TO JOIN DCM

AsiaInfo Services 01-11-2006 Sina COO to Join DCM BEIJING, Jan 11, 2006 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Hurst Lin, the former Chief Operation Officer (COO) of Chinese web portal Sina (NASDAQ: SINA) is going to join DCM, a US-based venture capital firm, as a business partner, says DCM. The announcement echoed the report days ago saying that Lin chose a sudden quit from Sina for he had more interests in venture investment. DCM also discloses that Lin will be in the company's new Beijing office and start management of China business with other company heads by this April. Established in 1996, DCM at first stuck close to home.
But it quickly started making investments in Asia. The firm has made eight investments in China since 1999. Now 20% of DCM's USD 1.1...
