AsiaInfo Services 01-11-2006 Big Publisher Lonely Planet March into China BEIJING, Jan 11, 2006 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Australian travel guide publishing giant Lonely Planet would cooperate with a Chinese bookstore in the Chinese travel guide market. The new has been made public by its CEO Judy Slatyer at a press conference hosted by the publisher, the bookstore and the Australian Embassy in Beijing. According to their plan, they will join hands in publishing some travel guide books, the core products of the Australian publisher, and also some new books.
The first batch of travel guide books in simplized Chinese are expected by be published this June. Lonely Planet has a history of 30 years. It has more than 600 kinds of travel guide books. The company...
