AsiaInfo Services 01-17-2006 CNPC Begins Integration of PetroKazakhstan BEIJING, Jan 17, 2006 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- The Beijing-based China National Petroleum Corp. (CNPC), one of the nation's largest oil and gas producers, has begun the integration of PetroKazakhstan, which was fully acquired by CNPC for USD 4.18 billion last October. The work is at present in a smooth going, according to a CNPC director at a recent news press. CNPC has successively assigned more than 30 executives to PK for the takeover and management affairs since October 27 of last year. Up to now, 20 of PK's international employees resigned, but most of them presented the resignation report before the acquisition.
