AsiaInfo Services 01-18-2006 FMC's Sales Volume in China Exceeded 220,000 Vehicles BEIJING, Jan 18, 2006 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Ford Motor Co. (FMC), the world's second largest automaker, posted sales volume of more than 220,000 vehicles in China last year, exceeding the company's forecast. FMC totally sold 89,489 vehicles under the brands of Ford, Lincoln, Land Rover, Jaguar and Volvo, and the growth rate of each surpassed the industry's average. The growth rate of Land Rover, Jaguar and Volvo hit 83%, 107% and 220% respectively. The sales of Ford-branded automobiles (including imported and homegrown ones) were 82,225 units, representing an increase of 46% year on year.
