AsiaInfo Services 01-18-2006 Subaru China Sales Soared in 2005 SHANGHAI, Jan 18, 2006 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Subaru, the auto brand under Japan-based Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd, saw soaring sales in 2005. According to a Subaru dealer for East China region, Subaru's China sales rocketed 600% in 2005, while its current sales volume is nearly close to that of the market leader BMW and Mercedes-Benz. He added that Subaru has come on the top 15 list of imported auto brands in China. The dealer for North China region revealed that monthly Subaru sales can reach 150 units or so now.
