AsiaInfo Services 01-20-2006 Shanghai Maple Starts R&D on Marindo 506 SHANGHAI, Jan 20, 2006 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Shanghai Maple Automobile Co., Ltd., subsidiary of Geely Group Co., Ltd., signed a contract with Shanghai Jiao Tong University on research and development of its own brand Marindo 506. The Marindo 506 is intended for medium-grade car markets at home and abroad.
The R&D has been included among the city's key projects. In addition, the hybrid-powered vehicle project, jointly developed by Shanghai Maple, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Tongji University, has started recently.
