CHINA TELECOM TO ROLL OUT FASTER ADSL SERVICES

AsiaInfo Services 02-07-2006 China Telecom to Roll Out Faster ADSL Services JIANGSU, Feb 07, 2006 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- China Telecom, the largest fixed line carrier in the country, plans to roll out upgraded ADSL services, which allows Internet access with data download speed of as high as 12Mbps. At the end of 2005, the Jiangsu branch of China Telecom started offering Super ADSL services, and Suzhou, capital of Jiangsu Province, began beta testing of ADSL2 from the beginning of last December. The Suzhou branch of China Telecom adopted S6307TVb ADSL modem made by Alcatel Shanghai Bell, which enables users to reach a download speed of 12Mbps and upload speed of 800Kbps.
