AsiaInfo Services 02-28-2006 Shanghai Unicom Launches Free Local Call Receiving Service SHANGHAI, Feb 28, 2006 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Shanghai Unicom, a unit of China Unicom in Shanghai, presented a business that customers of "Ruyitong", the prepaid mobile business in Chinese, will be able to receive local calls free of charge by applying for a CNY 6 monthly service, sources unveiled. Insiders from the local company testified the saying, and said the service will sustain to the end of the year. The service is another move came after China Unicom canceled the charge for roaming service in China's Yangtze River Delta Area, and it greatly played down communications service charges for mobile phone users.
