AsiaInfo Services 03-15-2006 Okay Airways Adds One More Airplane BEIJING, Mar 15, 2006 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Tianjin-based Okay Airways,the first private budget carrier in China, has put its second airplane Boeing737-800 into operation on March 13 at the airport in east China's coastal city of Tianjin. Different from its first aircraft Boeing 737-900, the newly-arrived Boeing737-800 is of a design of all-economic-seat being able to carry 175 passengers. Boeing 737-900 is too big for Okay Airways, and it brings too high operation costs for it to bear despite an average of around 80% of occupation rate, said Okay Airways spokesperson Han Jing.
