AsiaInfo Services 03-16-2006 AT&T Complains About China's High Threshold to Telecom Market US, Mar 16, 2006 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- AT&T complains that the Chinese administrations open the telecom market too slowly so it reluctantly enter the infrastructure telecom business in China.
But the company will still inject some of its USD 85bn global investment budget to China. Steve Lowe, vice president of AT&T in Asia-Pacific Region, says that the Chinese government sets a too high threshold of market access, which blocks AT&T to further expand presence in the Chinese infrastructure telecom sector.
