AsiaInfo Services 03-27-2006 China Unicom Operating Revenues Rise 10.1% in 05 BEIJING, Mar 27, 2006 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- China United Telecommunications Corporation (China Unicom), the country's second biggest mobile telecom operator and the sole CDMA operator, boosted its operating revenues by 10.1% year on year to CNY 87.05 billion in 2005. According to the March 23 performance report by China Unicom, the revenues from GSM business reached CNY 52.14 billion, up 9.7%.
The revenues from CDMA business hit CNY 30.32 billion, jumping 16.4%. The revenues from mobile value-added services surged 65.2% to CNY 11.96 billion, accounting for 15.0% of the revenues from mobile services. The revenues from Long-distance data transmission and Internet businesses stood at...
