AsiaInfo Services 04-21-2006 3G Licence Issue Clarified to Be Rumor BEIJING, Apr 21, 2006 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- The word that 3G licenses were to be released this September was clarified to be a rumor. China's Ministry of Information Industry and the country's biggest telecom carriers such as China Mobile and China TieTong unanimously pointed out there was no sources or signs foreshadowing China would release 3G licenses in September. 3G licenses would be released in September and China Mobile, China Unicom, China Telecom, China TieTong and so forth would be the first batch of candidates, a document from China Mobile was quoted as saying by some media on April 18.
