AsiaInfo Services 05-25-2006 Shanda, NetEase Take Different Strategies in Game Business BEIJING, May 25, 2006 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Shanda Interactive Entertainment and NetEase, China's top two online game operators, released respective first-quarter results, but they have taken different sales strategies in the game business. Shanda said it has opened games to players free of charge, and the move brought more profits.
Data showed that the company gained additional 20% users in the first three months, and it successfully turned losses into profits at the same time.
