AsiaInfo Services 07-03-2006 Tokyo Electric Power Buy Carbon Dioxide Emission Right XINJIANG, Jul 03, 2006 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- The Tokyo Electric Power Company, Incorporated says that it has signed the deal about purchasing carbon dioxide emission right with a wind power station in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China, enabling itself to emit 650,000 tons of carbon dioxide during 2006-2012. The Chinese party is a state-owned energy investment company as well as one of the subsidiaries of Beijing Guotou Energy Conservation Companys, Xinjiang Guotou Wind Power Plant, whose twenty 1,500 KV wind power generating units installed in outskirts of Urumqi had started operating from this January, with power output reaching 30,000 KV.
